Are you born gay or you become gay?

Research regarding the gay sexuality are more often and the results are surprising. The science is currently studying the twin brothers, noted the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, in a correspondence from London in the August, 31 edition, signed by Enrico Franceschini.
Patrick and Thomas are two twin brothers of seven years old, perfectly identical. It is enough to spend with them a few minutes to realize the differences between them. Patrick is kind, meditative, delicate, Thomas is aggressive, loud, explosive.
When the twins were two years old, Patrick found in a closet his mother’s shoes and tried them on. At three years old, while Thomas was playing with toy guns, Patrick was saying that his favorite toys were Barbie dolls.
Last year the kindergarten teacher asked their mother to come to the kindergarten regarding the fact that Patrick was disturbing other kids declaring that he was a girl not a boy.
The boys mother has contacted a psychologist and has discovered that such a behavior is called “childhood gender nonconformity” /CGN/, in other words a childhood nonconformist with their own sex. There are many studies regarding this phenomenon which showed that about 75% of children with CGN become homosexual or bisexual when they become adults.
If that was true then why one brother has tendency towards being feminine and gay, while the other twin brother grows up heterosexual ?, asks the author of the article. Freud declared that homosexuality comes from ambient factors, from education received from parents, from a very protective mother. But this this case of twin brothers the mother and the education is the same.
Recent theories regarding this matter has given a bigger credit to an opposite hypothesis, meaning that homosexuality is genetic, once there was discovered the so called “gay gene” in 1993 – chromosome Xq28. Also there were conducted studies regarding the size of hypothalamus neurons / the region of brain which controls the sexual zone/, which proved that the neuron number is double at heterosexuals then homosexuals.
Nevertheless Patrick and Thomas received the same and identical genetic code. Then why they have a different sexual orientation, asks the author of the article.
A definite answer hasn’t been given yet, but scientific knowledge is evolving with giant steps during a period of five years, in USA including 5000 brothers, heterosexual and homosexual.
At the same time there were made studies in Austria, Sweden and other European countries. Even though it was loosing ground the old Freudian theory of homosexuality being generated by ambient and the way the child was grown up, new proofs the importance of genetic and biologic factors for the development of one or another sexual preference.
Regarding Patrick and Thomas/the journalist didn’t give them their real names/ whose story was told by the daily paper The New York Times and the English The Guardian, the experts opinion is that the difference was created during intrauterine life, during the nine months of pregnancy.
There is a possibility that Patrick suffered stress before birth, because of his position in uterus, the flux of blood that reached him, and other independent factors that are controlled by mother.
The answer to the question whether if you are born gay or you become one?, should be answered atleast in the case of one twin, that sometimes you are born homosexual.
